Randomised trials
We are pleased to present you with the 11th edition of the Randomised Trial Book summarising recent randomised clinical trials in the field of interventional cardiology.
As in previous editions, we have selected papers that were published in high ranked medical journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine, The Lancet, the Journal of the American Medical Association, Circulation, the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, the European Heart Journal, the Annals of Internal Medicine and EuroIntervention. The trials selected all yielded important information concerning developments in interventional cardiology, and the results of these studies could play a role in clinical decision making.
The 11th edition is an update of all important topics in interventional cardiology including primary PCI, stents, stable and unstable coronary syndromes, pre- and post- PCI treatments.
Each trial is presented in a uniform, one-page format containing the title, objectives, design, results and the conclusion as phrased by the authors. This enables for an effi cient, fast and easy access to the most recent, important contributions in interventional literature.
This year the Randomised Trial Book is accompanied online at www.eurointervention.org - by a downloadable set of slides summarising a selection of key trials published over the last few months.
We hope that this publication will be of use and will serve as a quick reference guide.
