Wrap up interview: from bioabsorbable polymer DES to fully absorbable metallic scaffolds

Discussants: Michael Joner, Thomas Pilgrim and Juan Iglesias

In the current era of drug-eluting stents, despite great technological progress over the past decade, there is still a need to improve outcomes for certain patient subgroups. The session speakers discuss which patients would benefit most from improvements in stent design, including those at high risk for adverse events, i.e. stent restenosis in patients with diabetes, stent thrombosis in acute settings like patients with STEMI at EuroPCR 2015.
