Transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR) may improve the outcomes for patients with mitral regurgitation. Vinay Badhwar describes the results of an initial feasibility study for the first 100 patients with symptomatic mitral regurgitation at high or prohibitive surgical risk to be treated with TMVR using the Tendyne transcatheter mitral prosthesis.
