Are higher operator volumes for unprotected left main stem percutaneous coronary intervention associated with improved patient outcomes?
15 Jun 2020
The presented results appear to further strengthen the notion that operator’s experience may be an important effect modifier in LM PCI.

First-in-human evaluation of a novel sirolimus-eluting ultra-high molecular weight APTITUDE bioresorbable scaffold: 9- and 24-month imaging and clinical results of the RENASCENT II trial
18 Jun 2020
The novel sirolimus-eluting ultra-high molecular weight APTITUDE bioreabsorbable vascular scaffold (BRS) displays higher mechanical strength, expansion capabilities and resistance to fracture compared to other BRS technologies. RENASCENT II is a prospective, multicentre first-in-human clinical study evaluating the clinical performance of the APTITUDE BRS in the treatment...

Clinical outcomes following coronary bifurcation PCI techniques: a systematic review and network meta-analysis comprising 5,711 patients
07 Jul 2020
The main message of this study is that DK-crush was associated with fewer MACE, driven by lower rates of repeat revascularisation, whereas no significant differences among techniques were observed for cardiac death, myocardial infarction and stent thrombosis.

How does the latest Tendyne TMVI clinical evidence change heart team decisions?
Watch this video if you want to get an overview of the 2-years results of the largest Transcatheter Mitral Valve Implantation (TMVI) clinical study and discuss the implications of the results for heart team's decisions.
Speaker: David Muller

Left ventricular and systolic dimension determines anatomic suitability for transcatheter mitral valve implantation
25 Jun 2020 – From PCR e-Course 2020
A common exclusion for transcatheter mitral valve implantation (TMVI) is a small predicted neo-left ventricular outflow tract (LVOT). Simulation of the neoLVOT is time-consuming, requires multi-detector computerised tomography (MDCT), specialised software, and computer models of the prosthesis. Measurements that do not require neoLVOT simulation may provide...

New TMVI therapy to eliminate mitral regurgitation. Evidence and patient selection
26 Jun 2020 – From PCR e-Course 2020
Watch this video if you want to get the latest update on the first commercially available TMVI therapy (Tendyne), to learn about Tendyne clinical experience and how to identify the best candidates for this novel therapy.

Transcatheter mitral valve implantation (TMVI) in patients with severe mitral annular calcification: early results from the Tendyne MAC Study
Watch this video if you want to know more about the feasibility study of Tendyne mitral valve system in mitral annular calcification.
