Summary

Watch a LIVE case followed by a recorded case on enhanced TAVI:

  • An 80-year-old female with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis, a complete right bundle branch block (RBB), and preserved LV function. The operators implanted a 25 mm ACURATE Prime valve following predilation with a 22 mm balloon. Femoral access was closed using a MANTA closure device. A complete heart block occurred after the guidewire crossed the valve.
  • A 91-year-old female with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis, coronary artery disease (LAD 75%), chronic kidney disease, preserved LV function, and an extremely small annulus (280 mm²). A 23 mm Evolut FX valve was implanted (one retrieval) following predilation with pacing and ICE guidance, which was used to analyze the implantation depth relative to the septum.

LIVE Case from University Hospital of Cologne - Cologne, Germany
Recorded Case "TAVI for a patient with an extremely small annulus" from Keio University – Tokyo, Japan
