Prof. Alain Cribier

Alain Cribier

Interventional cardiologist / Cardiologist
HOPITAL CHARLES NICOLLE CHU ROUEN - Rouen, France

After introducing balloon dilatation of centric aortic valves, he conceived and developed TAVI, the transcatheter delivery of an aortic bioprosthesis anchored in situ via a stented frame. This procedure was proven to be life-saving in inoperable patients and can now be offered to patients with high or moderate surgical risk.
