How to manage PCI in patients treated with oral anticoagulant?
22 May 2019 – From EuroPCR 2019
Consult this session to learn how to decide between different combinations of antithrombotic agents after PCI and how to manage high ischaemic risk patients treated with oral anticoagulant.
Technical consideration for left main bifurcation in light of evidence
16 Dec 2021 – From GulfPCR-GIM 2021
Watch this session to get proved that provisional side-branch stenting is recommended for the majority of bifurcation lesions, including the LM, that DK-Crush appears to be the best two-stent technique for important SB with complex stenoses, and that imaging and physiology can optimize stenting strategy decision...
Clinical applications of IVUS, OCT and other intracoronary imaging techniques: practical simulation-based learning (Part 2)
19 May 2021 – From EuroPCR 2021
Often, angiography is not enough, and imaging can be very useful. In this session, originally presented during EuroPCR 2021, our experts use clinical cases to demonstrate that in all circumstances (ostial LAD, stent failure, bifurcation, calcified lesion, ACS...), imaging is quite simple to analyze and particularly...
Managing a patient with STEMI and bystander disease in the pandemic (Part 1) - Session with LIVE demonstration
20 May 2021 – From EuroPCR 2021
Watch this session if you want to be updated on developments in treatment of ACS and STEMI and to discuss diagnosis and treatment for bystander disease.
This session was originally presented during EuroPCR 2021.
Clinical applications of IVUS, OCT and other intracoronary imaging techniques: practical simulation-based learning (Part 1)
19 May 2021 – From EuroPCR 2021
The aim of this session, originally presented during EuroPCR 2021, is to demonstrate how intra-coronary imaging can improve outcomes, to help understand appropriate indications for its use, and to provide practical tips & tricks on how to integrate intra-coronary imaging into daily clinical practice through a...
Unconventional situations and complications during cardiovascular interventions
21 May 2025 – From EuroPCR 2025
Explore this session to gain expert tips and practical strategies for managing unexpected complications during cardiovascular interventions. Learn how to anticipate and avoid complications in conventional procedures and discover different approaches to tackle challenging situations in the cathlab through detailed case discussions involving PCI, TAVI, and...
EuroPCR 2019 Hot Line and Trial Update
21 May 2019 – From EuroPCR 2019
Consult this session to learn all about the results of the latest trials : discover more about the COAPT trial, examining the relationship between residual mitral regurgitation and clinical outcomes, the GLOBAL Leaders substudy, examining ticagrelor monotherapy in complex PCI, and the BIO-RESORT, determining the clinical outcomes following treatment...
PCI in complex high-risk patients: acute coronary syndrome and multivessel disease PCI
19 May 2022 – From EuroPCR 2022
Consider an 86-year-old man with acute chest pain and history of HTN, HLP, DM, renal insufficiency, peripheral artery disease, PTA, urocystic cancer, and TIA, and discuss how to treat this very complex patient combining all the problems we face every day in one person.
Our patient with high-bleeding risk and acute coronary syndrome
17 May 2022 – From EuroPCR 2022
Follow the discussions about a 54-year-old active smoker on NOAC for a recent PAE, with inferior STEMI, and address the following points: radial difficulties, angio projections, thrombus aspiration, nonculprit PCI in STEMI, and best DAPT strategy for an elderly STEMI patient.
Complex scenarios beyond complex interventions, time to take multiple factors into account
15 May 2024 – From EuroPCR 2024
Complications: cases of wire entrapment, stent dislodgement, an entangled Impella device and more
16 Dec 2021 – From GulfPCR-GIM 2021
Watch this session to learn how to face various complications, thanks to a selection of cases presented at GulfPCR-GIM 2021: a wire entrapment, a guide-wire fracture, a dissection and a loss of flow, a stent dislodgement, as well as an entangled Impella device.
Challenging and complication cases
15 Dec 2022 – From GulfPCR-GIM 2022
Watch this GulfPCR-GIM 2022 session to learn how to deal with post-infarction ventricular rupture, an unusual post-CABG complication, a left main complication with the LACOSTE technique, the entrapment of a knotted catheter in the radial artery during primary PCI, and much more!
Revascularisation for chronic coronary syndrome and multivessel disease (Part 1) - Session with LIVE demonstration
18 May 2021 – From EuroPCR 2021
Watch this session if you want to understand when patients with CCS and MVD should undergo revascularisation, to appraise how to select the optimal revascularisation strategy in such patients and to learn how to perform state-of-the-art PCI to achieve optimal procedural outcomes.
This session was originally presented...
Revascularisation for chronic coronary syndrome and multivessel disease - Part 2
18 May 2021 – From EuroPCR 2021
Watch this session if you want to understand when patients with CCS and MVD should undergo revascularisation and to appraise how to select the optimal revascularisation strategy in such patients.
This session was originally presented during EuroPCR 2021.
Bioresorbable scaffolds versus metallic stents - interview with Patrick Serruys
18 May 2017
Patrick Serruys has been instrumental in developing several key innovations in coronary angioplasty, including drug-eluting stents and quantitative coronary angiography. Furthermore, he became interested in developing bioresorbable scaffolds when he felt guilty about implanting a metallic stent into such “delicate biological structure” as the coronary vessel.
30 years of primary PCI – a tale of perseverance
16 May 2023
Over the last 30 years, primary PCI (pPCI) has evolved from an experimental ‘rescue’ intervention to an essential routine procedure – performed daily in cathlabs around the world – which is responsible for saving millions of lives. However, its path to success was far from smooth.
