Innovations and novel strategies in CTO PCI

Session comprising selected EuroPCR 2024 Clinical Case submissions

Summary

This session showcases innovative and novel strategies for the percutaneous treatment of chronic total occlusions (CTO) in the coronary arteries. Attendees will learn about techniques such as subintimal rotational ablation with retrograde guidance, external calcium modification, and the use of intravascular lithotripsy to optimize stenting in complex CTO cases. The session also covers the integration of tip-detection antegrade dissection re-entry and the potential role of drug-coated balloons in complex CTO PCI.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • Left anterior descending artery CTO: subintimal rotational ablation with retrograde guidance for accurate intraluminal tracking
  • External calcium modification facilitated retrograde CTO PCI
  • Subintimal intravascular lithotripsy to optimise external crush stenting
  • Dealing with rock-solid in-stent chronic total occlusion (IS-CTO) : all hands on deck
  • Integrated tip-detection antegrade dissection re-entry (TDADR) in CTO PCI: seeing is believing
  • DCB in complex CTO with bifurcation and severe diffuse vessel disease: the new frontier?
  • Unusual cause of cardiac tamponade during CHIP PCI treated with a novel technique
  • Interaction in challenging situation, trust your holographic proctor
