Summary

This session provides a comprehensive understanding of both transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) and transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR) techniques, including their respective advantages, suitability criteria, and clinical outcomes. The session features insights from a surgeon's perspective on the considerations and techniques involved in mitral valve repair and replacement, and how these can inform and improve percutaneous methods. Attendees will also learn how the heart team evaluates whether a patient is a better candidate for mitral valve repair or replacement.
