China experience in TAVI evolution

Spokesperson: G. Song
SHOW MORE

Summary

This session highlights key innovations and recent research from China in the field of transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). Leading cardiovascular specialist present new data on pacing strategies, comparing left bundle branch area pacing with traditional right ventricular pacing in TAVI patients. They also explore the use of fractional flow reserve (FFR) to assess and manage coronary obstruction risk after TAVR. Finally, the session discusses the results of a randomized clinical trial on a downsizing strategy for valve selection in patients with type 0 bicuspid aortic stenosis.

Learning Objectives

  • To understand how commissural alignment can help reduce the risk of coronary artery obstruction in patients with bicuspid or small sinuses of Valsava in China
  • To understand the long-term outcome of left bundle branch area pacing in TAVI patients
  • To share an update on valve sizing RCT in bicuspid type 0 patients in China
