The calcium challenge: stent avoidance and in-stent restenosis treatment

Summary

Confront the challenges posed by coronary calcium through innovative stent avoidance and in-stent restenosis treatment strategies. This session features analyses on the feasibility of intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) alone, its use prior to drug-coated balloon angioplasty, and in treating in-stent restenosis. Outcomes following IVL-assisted PCI are reviewed alongside comparisons of excimer laser atherectomy as a standalone or combined modality.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • Feasibility of intravascular lithotripsy alone strategy; a retrospective analysis of OCT findings
  • Intravascular coronary lithotripsy prior to DCB angioplasty
  • Procedural and clinical outcomes after intravascular lithotripsy in patients undergoing PCI
  • Comparison of excimer laser atherectomy as a sole device or as part of a multimodality strategy
