All things vascular

Session comprising selected GulfPCR-GIM 2025 clinical case submissions

Facilitator: R. Alawaisheh

Summary

This session presents a comprehensive exploration of vascular interventions, highlighting advanced techniques such as retrograde tibial artery approaches for long CTO lesions in the superficial femoral artery, catheter-directed thrombectomy for bilateral pulmonary embolism, and innovative endovascular management of pulmonary haemorrhages in Eisenmenger syndrome. Case reports and complex scenarios including coronary artery fistula, retroperitoneal haemorrhage following femoral venous access, and flow reversal in the left internal mammary artery due to proximal subclavian artery stenosis are also discussed to enhance clinical understanding.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • Retrograde approach via tibial artery for treatment of long CTO superficial femoral artery lesion
  • Coronary artery fistula - A case report
  • False lumen, real problems
  • A "low" puncture with high consequences: retroperitoneal haemorrhage following femoral venous access
  • Breaking the block: venous victory
