Curious mitral and tricuspid scenarios

Facilitators: M. Wild, O. Chehab

Summary

This session presents a series of challenging and unusual clinical scenarios involving mitral and tricuspid valve disease. Topics include management of acute primary mitral regurgitation in high-surgical-risk patients, technical challenges in transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR), and complex cases where cardiac rhythm disturbances interplay with valvular pathology. The session also addresses unexpected complications such as worsening ventilation parameters during mitral TEER, providing valuable insights into multifaceted valve intervention challenges.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • Acute primary mitral regurgitation in a high-surgical-risk patient
  • TMVR - Technical challenges
  • Journey from challenge to triumph
  • Beyond the valve, when rhythm becomes the missing piece
  • Mitral TEER with unexpected worsening of ventilation parameters
