Challenging transcatheter interventions for mitral stenosis and mitral annular calcification

Session comprising selected EuroPCR 2026 clinical cases submissions

Moderators: P. Sorajja, C. Besler

Summary

This session addresses the challenges of transcatheter interventions in severe mitral stenosis and mitral annular calcification. It highlights therapeutic innovations such as treating mitral stenosis with annular calcification, valve-in-MAC procedures, use of extra-large Myval valves, transatrial ViMAC approaches, and combined multivalve interventions in rheumatic heart disease.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • Severe mitral stenosis with annular calcification: a therapeutic challenge, a shocking solution
  • Valve in mitral annular calcification
  • Feasibility of extra-large size of Myval valve for valve in MAC
  • Exploring uncharted surgical terrain: transatrial ViMAC
  • State-of-the-art combined transcatheter multivalve intervention for rheumatic heart disease
