Imaging evaluation in structural heart interventions

Session comprising selected EuroPCR 2026 abstract submissions

Moderators: R. Rajani, X. Wang

Summary

This session offers a comprehensive evaluation of imaging techniques applied in structural heart interventions. It covers innovative studies including the impact of Dapagliflozin on multivalvular disease post-TAVI, advanced fusion methods combining CT and echocardiography to assess aortic stenosis severity, and the clinical relevance of the fibrocalcific index in TAVI patients. Additionally, it explores novel imaging modalities such as ultra–low contrast photon-counting detector CT and phenotype-specific photoplethysmography for aortic valve disease screening.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • Impact of Dapagliflozin on multivalvular disease after TAVI - A pre-specified echocardiographic substudy
  • Assessment of aortic stenosis severity by fusion of CT-derived LVOT diameter and echocardiography
  • Phenotype-specific value of photoplethysmography for screening of aortic valve disease
  • Feasibility and safety of ultra–low contrast photon-counting detector CT for pre-procedural planning
  • The fibrocalcific index and its clinical correlates in TAVI: the FIND-TAVI study
