Risk stratification and drug therapies in coronary arteries interventions

Session comprising selected EuroPCR 2026 abstract submissions

Moderators: D. Cao, A. Niessner

Summary

This session offers a detailed examination of risk stratification and pharmacologic therapies in coronary artery interventions. It features innovative markers such as left ventricle filling pressure (E/E' ratio) for predicting myocardial injury, clinical outcome impacts in dialysis-dependent patients, intraoperative DOAC removal during CABG, and machine learning models for acute kidney injury prognostication. Additional focus includes refined angiographic techniques and the influence of frailty and anatomical scores on PCI outcomes in elderly patients.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • Left ventricle filling pressure by E/E' ratio as a useful marker for periprocedural myocadial injury post PCI
  • Impact of clinical presentation on outcomes in dialysis-dependent patients undergoing PCI: insights
  • Intraoperative DOAC removal during CABG: an interim report from the STAR registry
  • Prognostication of acute kidney injury following percutaneous coronary intervention: a ML model
  • Refined annotations and specialised augmentation for minor epicardial artery in coronary angiography
