Complication "fil rouge": EuroPCR 2026 highlights

PCR Highlights

Summary

Nicolas Dumonteil and Thomas Cuisset, EuroPCR Course Directors, present the 2026 edition’s “fil rouge”: complications, a theme running throughout the entire programme.

Complications are part of everyday practice for every operator. They are often unexpected, always challenging, and consistently instructive.

This thread is built around three key objectives: understanding when and why complications occur, improving prevention strategies, and optimising management when they arise.

Throughout the EuroPCR 2026 programme, this fil rouge is reflected across multiple sessions built around real-life case discussions. Each case is analysed in detail to identify key lessons, refine preventive approaches, and share practical strategies for future practice.

Beyond the Course itself, the aim is to offer participants a refreshed perspective on complication management when they return to their cathlab.
