Imaging conclusion
Imaging for transcatheter aortic valve therapies implantations
Cardiac imaging plays a central role in the development of novel transcatheter aortic valve implantation devices, selection of patients who are candidates for TAVI and procedural planning and guidance. Accurate visualisation of the aortic root and annulus and their spatial relationship with surrounding structures (coronary arteries, mitral valve) permits optimisation of the results while minimising the number of complications.
