Practical information

- Centre: ICPS – Institut Cardiovasculaire Paris Sud, Massy, France.
- Research activities of the Host Centre: ICPS is actively involved in clinical research in interventional cardiology and participates in national and international multicentre studies and registries. Fellows are encouraged to contribute to research projects, scientific publications, and presentations at major international congresses, including EuroPCR, ESC, and TCT.
- Experience in hosting fellows: The ICPS Fellowship Programme was established to provide advanced training in interventional cardiology within a high-volume tertiary referral centre. Since its creation in 1998, the programme has hosted approximately 160 fellows from France and abroad, providing comprehensive training in coronary and structural interventional cardiology. Under the supervision of experienced interventional cardiologists, fellows participate in all aspects of patient care, complex interventional procedures, clinical decision-making, research activities, and educational programmes. The programme offers individualized training tailored to each fellow's educational objectives and career development.
- Education activities of the Host Centre: The fellowship programme includes daily clinical teaching, case discussions, multidisciplinary Heart Team meetings, journal clubs, dedicated educational sessions, simulation when available, and participation in national and international scientific meetings. Fellows receive close supervision throughout their training.
- Annual performance ✅: ICPS is a high-volume tertiary referral centre performing a broad spectrum of complex coronary interventions, including chronic total occlusions (CTO), calcified lesions, bifurcation PCI, intravascular imaging, and physiology-guided procedures. The centre also has a well-established structural heart disease programme and performs approximately 600 transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) procedures annually, making it one of the leading centres for structural interventions. Fellows benefit from extensive exposure to both routine and highly complex coronary and structural procedures.
- Additional Information: The fellowship programme provides comprehensive exposure to contemporary interventional cardiology in a collaborative academic environment, with a strong focus on procedural excellence, patient care, research, and education.
