The Mitral Valve Meeting (MVM) has fully integrated PCR London Valves since the 2019 edition!
Discover more about the collaboration between #PCRLV and MVM
PCR London Valves and MVM’s partnership springs from the shared belief that the future of valve interventions lies in the complementary role of medical, transcatheter and surgical therapies. Following the integration of MVM’s HeartLab workshops in the 2018 edition, the full collaboration since 2019 has further reinforced even the mitral and tricuspid tracks in the Course Programme. Built for all members of the Heart Valve Team, PCR London Valves is truly the reference valves disease meeting for all of the community!
MVM has brought to London its spirit of innovation, interaction, inspiration and impact!

A joining of two dynamics
Recognised as a magnet for committed professionals interested in mitral and tricuspid valve interventions, MVM first evolved at the University Hospital of Zurich in Switzerland, under the impetus of Professor Francesco Maisano. Particularly well known for innovative educational concepts such as the HeartLab, MVM’s collaboration further reinforced the dynamic of the PCR London Valves Programme, which was already renowned for putting a strong emphasis on sharing knowledge, hands-on participation, and open discussions.
What is the HeartLab?
In practical terms, HeartLab begins with the presentation of a specific cardiovascular procedure by an expert team. A live demonstration is then performed using simulators and realistic models, allowing participants to perform the intervention at the same time as the experts, on similar equipment. Following this joint “hands-on” experience the experts and participants share an open, moderated and practical discussion on the procedure.
