Further to the new reimbursement of MitraClip therapy in Japan, How Should I Treat and Learning sessions covered imaging-based patient selection, step-by-step procedures and how to identify potential complications, while a co-medical session provided beginner nurses with all the key knowledge.

Many of the region’s interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, nurses, anaesthesiologists and imaging specialists were at the dedicated Imaging Day on Friday 15 February. These sessions were an ideal opportunity for participants to deepen theirknowledge and for lively discussion with theirpeers! International Faculty used challenging cases to illustrate tips and tricks for anticipating, recognising and treating the most frequent TAVI complications

TAVI - Beginner sessions in Japanese gave tips and tricks for optimal Evolut R and Sapien 3 implantation. Advanced sessions dealt with more complex techniques and procedures

Co-medical sessions in the Japanese language

Built By and For the Nurses and Allied Professionals of the region, participants discovered the basic and fundamental concepts of TAVI and MitraClip procedures, and learnt how to manage complications in the cathlab

New this year at PCR Tokyo Valves and in the Japanese language! A small capacity training workshop offered highly practical hands-on experience with catheter skills: an ideal opportunity for surgeons to learn the basics
