PCR Tricuspid Focus Group - Referral Meeting in Lisbon

A Referral Meeting is a locally organised seminar, addressed to referring physicians with the objective of disseminating messages relevant to the referral and treatment of patients with tricuspid valve disease. It is an independent, post-graduate educational event initiated by a PCR Tricuspid Focus Group member.

- Target audience: This course is aimed for imaging cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, cardiologists, arrhythmology specialists, and cardiac surgeons, as well as residents and specialty doctors.
- Localisation: Hospital da Luz Learning Health Simulation Center, Lisbon, Portugal
Coordinators

Learning objectives:
- Promote early diagnosis and appropriate timing of intervention in valvular heart disease, reinforcing the clinical relevance of echocardiographic findings in decision-making.
- Standardize the echocardiographic assessment of mitral and tricuspid valve disease using 2D and 3D transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, enhancing consistency across clinical, imaging, and interventional teams.
- Develop hands-on skills through high-fidelity simulation, including training on normal and pathological anatomical models, with progressive learning stations from anatomy to beating-heart scenarios.
- Facilitate multidisciplinary communication and collaboration between clinical cardiologists, echocardiographers, interventional cardiologists, and cardiac surgeons through a shared echocardiographic language and practical framework.
