Tricuspid Valve Disease: From Diagnosis to Intervention in the Transcatheter Era
A referral meeting is a locally organised seminar, addressed to referring physicians with the objective of disseminating messages relevant to the referral and treatment of patients with tricuspid valve disease. It is an independent, post-graduate educational event initiated by a PCR Tricuspid Focus Group member.

Learning Objectives:
- Update current knowledge on the epidemiology, pathophysiology, and prognosis of tricuspid regurgitation, highlighting its clinical impact and its role in right heart failure.
- Improve the clinical recognition and risk stratification of patients with tricuspid regurgitation, identifying red flags and key prognostic factors.
- Review the role of multimodality imaging in the evaluation of tricuspid valve disease, including echocardiography, computed tomography, cardiac magnetic resonance, and invasive hemodynamic assessment.
- Discuss the optimal timing for referral and intervention, integrating current guideline recommendations and emphasizing the role of the Heart Team in decision-making.
- Provide an overview of current therapeutic strategies for tricuspid regurgitation, including medical therapy, surgical treatment, and transcatheter interventions, with a focus on patient selection.
