COMPLETE: Effects of complete revascularization on angina-related quality of life in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction

Reported from ACC 2022

In this interview, Mirvat Alasnag asks Shamir R. Mehta about the results of a prespecified analysis of the COMPLETE study which he presented during the ACC 2022 Scientific sessions.

Dr Mehta reports that complete revascularization, as opposed to culprit lesion-only revascularization, was associated with better angina-related quality of life in patients with STEMI and multivessel CAD. It also improved patient-reported health status.

So the old thing I mean complete Revascularization in STEMI replacing the recent guide line of Revascularization only STEMI Bessel and staged to non STEMI vessel

Frequent changes of complete vs STEMI vessel pci , does industry influence plays key role? If not then what else

Imaging or physiology guided PCI has better outcomes in doing pci of STEMI vessel and non-culprit vessel pci has any better outcomes
