Best wishes from PCR – collaborating with you for a heart-healthy 2024
Jean Fajadet, Bernard Prendergast and William Wijns reflect on 2023’s progress and achievements. As they look forward to 2024 their vision for PCR is clear: continue advancing cardiovascular care through promoting community knowledge, skills and experience sharing.

Dear Colleagues, Dear Companions, Dear Friends,
Another year has drawn to an end in a complex global environment, and here at PCR we are committed to staying focused on improving interventional cardiovascular care worldwide.
Deep gratitude for your dedication
We are great believers in the power and impact of lifelong learning, and incredibly grateful for the community’s eager contribution to the advancement of education in our field. It is thanks to your team spirit and engagement over the past year that PCR Courses, PCR Webinars, PCR Publishing and other educational initiatives have all met with resounding success.
Launch of new initiatives in 2023
The popular 2-day Advanced Course on Transseptal Puncture tailored by PCR Simulation Based Learning has already announced 3 more sessions in 2024 and the 2nd edition of PCR Imaging Valves Madrid, taking place in February, will once again demonstrate the relevance of practical training on the ‘eyes of the Heart Team’!
Encouraging and enhancing interaction
2023 also saw the roll out of Top Companions: a vibrant new phase in PCR companionship that brings increased recognition for your learning and sharing among peers. A mention too for the recently developed ViTAL Library: a fantastic resource for practitioners who ensure that our dynamic trademark sessions provide you with a truly immersive learning experience.
Our wish for the year ahead?
As always, PCR looks forward to providing multiple opportunities for the community to share knowledge, skills and experience all year long. Our aim: to foster improved care and spread the benefit further afield each year. That is the best gift we can offer to cardiovascular patients and their families around the globe.
Happy and healthy new year to you all! ✨
