The COVID-19 barrier box is a modified aerosol box for intubation for continuous use in the Cathlab. It allows the procedure and projections to be carried out without interfering with case management since it can be molded and is useful for moving the patient out of the room.
This modified aerosol box is built with 4 hoses with wire inside so that it can be molded and joined by two Y connectors and covered with plastic, so as to help protect catheterization laboratory staff - see photos below:




Case example
The case concerns a 70-year-old woman with Acute Coronary Syndrome type Inferior STEMI with fibrinolysis, transferred for angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention with pharmacoactive Stent 3.0x33mm (pharmacoinvasive strategy) with optimal result and Radial approach during COVID.
