    To avoid this unwanted event we can use conscious sedation and IV verapamil 2.5 mg. Take a time of about 5-10 minutes before removal of the sheath after applying the above mentioned medication. It gives an excellent result, specially in women who are prone to develop this kind of spasm.

    Complete ovulation of Radial artery is very rare but can happen specially in female sex, spasm, small size radial artery. This can be avoided by conscious sedation, GTN spray if needed complete sedation for a short while.

    Sometimes local addition of lignocaine also effective in addition to verapamil
