A 75-year-old female was admitted for an invasive coronary angiography due to progressive angina. The angiography revealed a total occlusion of the RCA, which was successfully wired with an Asahi Fiedler FC wire and confirmed in the distal true lumen by microcatheter tip injection. However, angiography showed haziness over the distal RCA after semi-compliance ballooning. In order to elucidate the reason for the haziness observed in the angiography study, we utilized an intracoronary imaging modality.
