ETHICA Award at EuroPCR 2019: Professor Jean Marco awarded for his oustanding contribution to the field of Interventional Cardiology
Summary
Each year the Andreas Grüntzig ETHICA Award recognises outstanding colleagues who have contributed in an exceptional way to our Mission, which is to serve the needs of each individual patient by helping the cardiovascular community to share knowledge, experience and practice. Professor Jean Marco, as a colleague, as a teacher, as a person, is such an individual and has therefore been awarded the ETHICA Award at EuroPCR 2019.
Practitioner in interventional cardiology since 1979, Professor Marco created what was to become EuroPCR in 1989 and went on to spark other PCR Courses across the globe. He set the foundations of the PCR philosophy of excellence and innovation in education, always placing the interest of each individual patient at the centre.
