Summary
In this PCR London Valves 2021 session, let's review the mitral anatomy from different standpoints before focusing on both mitral and transseptal punctures; then, let's try to transfer this knowledge into real practice by simulating some steps of these procedures.
Learning Objectives
- To understand the spatial relationship between the anatomical components of the mitral valve complex and surrounding structures
- To transfer anatomical knowledge of the mitral valve complex to multi-modality imaging for transcatheter valve interventions
- To translate this anatomical and imaging understanding of the mitral valve to simulated transcatheter procedures
