Summary
Consider a 66-year-old man, hypertensive and diabetic for 10 years, with history of recurrent substernal chest pain and exertional dyspnea, who presented with easy fatigability and shortness of breath, or a 72-year-old man on dialysis who presented with STEMI and severe calcified stenosis of LAD/DI bifurcation, and refused CABG, and find out how to successfully treat calcified lesions.

- To appreciate the importance of intracoronary imaging in assessing calcification and planning management
- To review the role and mechanism of rotational atherectomy and coronary intravascular lithotripsy
- To understand adjunct techniques and devices such as guidance extension catheters and specially balloons in successfully treating calcific lesions
