How to treat my patient with combined mitral and tricuspid valve disease
In collaboration with the PCR Tricuspid Focus Group
Summary
Follow the discussion around the case of this 77-year-old patient with hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, already on dialysis twice a week for chronic kidney disease, and with an implantable automatic defibrillator, who presents with permanent atrial fibrillation, and severe secondary mitral and tricuspid regurgitation, and learn more about treating patients with multivalvular disease, and more specifically combined atrioventricular valve disease.
Learning Objectives
- To learn how to assess patients with combined disease of the atrioventricular valves
- To follow a step-by-step recorded procedure of concomitant treatment of the mitral and tricuspid valves
- To understand the most important principles underlying successful imaging guidance of transcatheter mitral and tricuspid procedures
