Summary

This session aims to highlight the remarkable advancements achieved in transcatheter mitral valve intervention over the past two decades, since its inception. Follow two TEER cases which illustrate this rapidly growing field:

  • Transcatheter edge-edge mitral valve repair
A 77-year-old male with a history of SAVR (bioprothesis) + LIM-LAD/Diag, normal LV function, presented a severe primary MR (P1 prolapse with chordal rupture). The operators decided to implant 2 clips (G4 NTW and XT) on TEE guidance.
LIVE case from Clinique Pasteur, Toulouse, France
  • An 85-year-old woman, on AF, presented a primary MR non-eligible for TEER. Watch the operators implant a Tendyne valve by apical access.
Recorded case from Bad Oeyhhausen, Germany
