Summary

This session explores the use of drug-coated balloons (DCB) and intracoronary imaging techniques in complex coronary interventions. It features a series of case presentations highlighting the application of technologies like near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS), intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), and physiology-guided approaches to optimize outcomes in challenging scenarios. The cases cover topics such as assessing lipid core burden in myocardial infarction, zero-contrast PCI in chronic kidney disease, and the role of hybrid PCI strategies. Discussions after each case provide valuable insights and audience interaction to further elucidate the clinical applications and best practices for utilizing these advanced tools and techniques.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • Acute changes on maximal lipid core burden index assessed with NIRS and IVUS in MI patients with stentless approach
  • Two for the price of one
  • Physiology-guided zero-contrast PCI with DEB in patient with advanced chronic kidney disease
  • IVUS NIRS-guided complex PCI
  • When stents are not the preferred option
  • IVUS-guided zero-contrast PCI in contrast-induced acute kidney injury patient
  • Hybrid PCI
