Challenging situations and complications in patients with ACS and acute heart failure undergoing PCI
With the collaboration of the Working group on Interventional Cardiology of the Latvian Society of Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology and Radiology Society of Moldova (SCRIM) and Ukrainian Association of Interventional Cardiology
Summary
This session, with the collaboration of various national societies, focuses on understanding different approaches and techniques for managing challenging situations and complications in patients with ACS and acute heart failure undergoing PCI. It covers the prompt recognition of potential periprocedural complications, various management strategies for PCI in cardiogenic shock, the selection of devices for hemodynamic support, and the handling of complications during PCI in ACS.
Learning Objectives
- To learn and understand different approaches and techniques through a "cross-geographic" exchange
- To understand the prompt recognition of potential periprocedural complications during PCI
- To discuss various management strategies for PCI in cardiogenic shock
- To learn about the selection of devices for haemodynamic support in ACS complicated by cardiogenic shock
- To learn about the handling of complications during PCI in ACS
