Summary

This session focuses on the complex interplay between pacemaker leads and the tricuspid valve, addressing the anatomical interactions, procedural challenges, and alternative pacing strategies. Attendees will gain a better understanding of the impact of pacemaker leads on tricuspid regurgitation, the techniques for lead implantation and extraction, and the diagnosis and management of related complications. Through case-based discussions, the session aims to equip clinicians with the knowledge to provide optimal care for patients requiring pacemakers after tricuspid valve procedures.

Learning Objectives

  • To understand the anatomical interactions of pacemaker leads and the tricuspid valve
  • To understand the procedural challenges related to the presence of pacemaker leads, lead extraction, or jailing
  • To get familiar with alternative pacing strategies for patients requiring pacemaker after tricuspid valve procedures
