DCB PCI: are we ready for complex de novo lesions?

Facilitators: R. Garbo, E. Regar

Summary

Evaluate the readiness of drug-coated balloon (DCB) therapy for complex de novo coronary lesions. This session reviews comparative outcomes of DCB versus drug-eluting stents (DES) across CHIP risk categories, impacts of diabetes, long-term follow-up data in calcified lesions and left main bifurcations, and treatment of in-stent restenosis in patients with chronic kidney disease.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • DCB-based versus DES-only strategy for de novo coronary artery disease across CHIP risk categories
  • A retrospective analysis of long-term outcomes of DCB vs. DES in heavily calcified lesions
  • Impact of diabetes on de novo lesions treated with DCB
  • DEB catheters for PCI of true left main bifurcations: five-year follow-up
  • Long-term outcomes following DCB vs. thin-strut DES for treatment of in-stent restenosis in chronic kidney disease patients
