Tricuspid and mitral: fine tuning diagnosis and results in transcatheter valve management

Facilitators: F. Valle, R. Saadi

Summary

This session focuses on refining diagnosis and treatment outcomes in transcatheter management of tricuspid and mitral valves. Topics include assessment of pulmonary artery pressure changes post-MitraClip, 3D echocardiographic evaluation of tricuspid regurgitation severity, quantitative improvements in imaging, and insights from single-centre experiences. Additional discussions cover bicaval valve implantation and meta-analyses on mitral valve repair outcomes in diabetic and non-diabetic patients.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • Reduction in pulmonary artery systolic pressure following MitraClip implantation: pre- and post-COAPT
  • 3D echocardiography volumetric assessment of the severity of tricuspid regurgitation
  • Improving the quantitative assessment of tricuspid regurgitation severity by echocardiography
  • Transcatheter edge-to-edge mitral valve repair: single-centre experience
  • Transcatheter bicaval valve implantation in patients with symptomatic severe tricuspid regurgitation
