Best clinical CTO cases

Session comprising selected EuroPCR 2026 clinical cases submissions

Moderators: B. Faurie, S. Rinfret

Summary

This session presents exemplary clinical cases in chronic total occlusion (CTO) PCI, illustrating advanced procedural strategies and complication management. Cases include retrograde CTO-PCI complicated by catheter-induced dissection, expansion of antegrade CTO PCI limits with hybrid approaches, successful combined antegrade and retrograde hydrodynamic contrast recanalisation, and staged ELCA-tripsy application in post-bypass microcatheter-uncrossable CTOs. These cases exemplify sophisticated techniques pushing the boundaries of CTO intervention.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • A retrograde CTO-PCI complicated by catheter-induced dissection
  • Expanding the limits of antegrade CTO PCI: two cases using the TDADR–TDHDR hybrid approach
  • A case of CTO successfully treated with antegrade and retrograde hydrodynamic contrast recanalisation
  • Staged “ELCA-tripsy” in post bypass microcatheter uncrossable CTO
