Cardiogenic shock: identifying the cause and tailoring the treatment

Session comprising selected EuroPCR 2026 clinical cases submissions

Moderators: D. Perera, P. Vranckx

Summary

This session focuses on the critical evaluation and management of cardiogenic shock by identifying its underlying causes and tailoring treatment accordingly. It presents complex cases including free wall rupture bail-out strategies, management dilemmas in inferior STEMI complicated by incomplete ventricular rupture, multifactorial culprit lesions, refractory hypotension during PCI, and non-coronary causes of cardiogenic shock.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • A novel technique as a bail-out strategy for blowout free wall rupture
  • Inferior STEMI complicated by incomplete left ventricular free wall rupture: a management dilemma
  • When one culprit is not enough
  • Navigating a diagnostic dilemma: why the patient experienced refractory hypotension during PCI
  • When the culprit is not the coronaries
