Management of a patient with complex multivessel disease involving bifurcations
Sponsored by Terumo Interventional Systems
Summary
Complex multivessel coronary disease involving bifurcations requires careful procedural planning, imaging guidance and tailored stent strategies.
This EuroPCR 2026 session combines live educational case with insights from the NAGOMI COMPLEX study to explore contemporary approaches to complex PCI. A key focus is placed on the role of intracoronary imaging in optimising procedural strategy, bifurcation techniques and stent selection.
The discussion also reviews outcomes with the Nagomi™ stent, including favourable results in complex bifurcation lesions and high-risk PCI settings, with consistently low target lesion failure (TLF) rates at 30 days and 6 months. Data in women are also addressed, highlighting differences in revascularisation and bleeding outcomes despite similar TLF rates.
Through practical case and clinical evidence, the session provides insights into optimising decision-making in complex multivessel PCI.
Learning Objectives
- To reflect on optimal management of patients with multivessel disease
- To learn how to optimise both strategy and technique using intracoronary imaging
- To discuss optimal technique for bifurcations including stent selection
