Summary

This session highlights the pivotal role of drug-coated balloons (DCB) in managing complex coronary lesions. Experienced operators share their approaches to applying DCB in challenging clinical and anatomical settings, optimized by intravascular imaging guidance. The discussion includes insights from the LatamBif Registry and other series on DCB use in bifurcation and left main disease, underscoring its expanding role in contemporary practice.

Learning Objectives

  • To learn from experienced operators the applicability of DCB in the most challenging clinical and anatomical scenarios for complex PCI
  • To learn how to guide and optimise PCI procedure with DCB using intravascular imaging
  • To learn from LatamBif Registry and other series the role of DCB in bifurcations and left main disease in current clinical practice

Presentations available when logged in:

  • Welcome and session objectives
  • Challenging clinical and anatomic scenarios: can DCB facilitate PCI and improve outcomes?
  • Case 1 - ACS with multivessel disease
  • Case 2 - Long and heavily calcified lesion
  • Can we rely on specific intravascular imaging criteria to guide PCI with DCB?
  • DCB as a preferred treatment option for complex left main recurrences
  • DCB in bifurcations: what have we learned from Latam datasets
