In-stent restenosis: exploring novel solution for an old problem

Session comprising selected EuroPCR 2026 abstract submissions

Summary

This session explores innovative approaches to treating in-stent restenosis (ISR) with a focus on drug-coated balloons (DCB) and sirolimus or paclitaxel-eluting balloon catheters. It includes clinical outcomes from IVUS-guided procedures, cutting balloon angioplasty, comparisons between DCB and DES, and emerging machine learning tools to predict target-lesion revascularization.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • The treatment of coronary in-stent restenosis with sirolimus or paclitaxel-eluting balloon catheters
  • Clinical outcomes of DCB PCI for in-stent restenosis preceded by IVUS assessment and cutting balloon angioplasty
  • DCB angioplasty in in-stent restenosis vs. de novo lesions: insights from a real-world registry
  • Long-term outcomes following DCB vs. thin-strut DES for treatmen of in-stent restenosis in ACS
  • SELUTION4ISR: a sirolimus DEB vs. repeat DES or balloon angioplasty for in-stent restenosis
