Refining the gold standard: what is new in DES

Session comprising selected EuroPCR 2026 abstract submissions

Moderators: A. Ferrara, A. Abizaid

Summary

This session explores recent advancements in drug-eluting stent (DES) technology, featuring global real-world evidence on short dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) with polymer-free DES, angiographic outcomes from pooled TARGET trials, and real-world registry data on various DES platforms. It also presents post-marketing surveillance results and systematic reviews of ultrathin-strut everolimus-eluting stents, reflecting ongoing refinement of DES as the gold standard in coronary revascularization.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • Global real-world evidence of short DAPT in patients undergoing PCI with polymer-free DES
  • Angiographic outcomes with the Firehawk stent: a pooled IPD meta-analysis of the TARGET trials
  • Real-world outcomes of coronary revascularisation with bioadaptor: Bio-RESTORE
  • Real-world multicenter french registry of Yukon Chrome PC and Yukon Choice PC in ACS patients
  • Prospective, multi-centric, single arm post marketing surveillance of Pristine, EES
  • One-year outcomes of Evermine50 ultrathin-strut everolimus-eluting stent: a systematic review
