Seeing differently, treating better: advanced imaging shaping modern structural heart practice
Sponsored by Philips

Summary
This session explores the transformative role of advanced imaging, particularly 3D intracardiac echocardiography (ICE), in modern structural heart interventions. It provides practical insights into implementation, highlighting how these tools can enhance workflow efficiency and procedural confidence across transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER), left atrial appendage (LAA) closure, and complex procedures. The session also examines the integration of artificial intelligence–based device tracking to further optimise mitral TEER interventions.
Learning Objectives
- To understand how and why 3D ICE has been implemented in real-world structural heart practice
- To learn how workflow efficiency and procedural confidence can be improved across TEER, LAA closure, and complex interventions
- To appreciate how artificial intelligence-based device tracking can be implemented for more efficient TEER procedures
