What bench testing teaches us about real world PCI

Session comprising selected EuroPCR 2026 abstract submissions

Moderators: S. Iwanczyk, A. Alshehri

Summary

This session explores bench testing insights into real-world percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI). Topics include comparative expansion ratios of coronary stents, prognostic assessments after drug-coated balloon treatments, mechanical performance of magnesium scaffolds in bifurcations, preclinical safety and computational modeling of bioresorbable polymer-coated stents, and evaluations of commonly used angioplasty balloons.

Presentations available when logged in:

  • Comparative expansion ratio of contemporary coronary stents: implications for precision deployment and clinical decision support
  • Prognostic value of diameter stenosis, QFR and RWSmax After DCB in De novo coronary lesions
  • Mechanical performance of a latest-generation magnesium scaffold in bifurcations: an in vitro study
  • Preclinical safety evaluation and computational modeling of bioresorbable polymer coated stents
  • Bench test for evaluation of the most frequently used coronary angioplasty balloons
