Antiplatelet de-escalation after complex PCI: when and how?

PCR Perspectives

Summary

It is now understood that ischemia is not the only risk to consider, as bleeding also plays a significant role. This is why de-escalation is now recommended for patients with complex PCI, as all de-escalation strategies reduce bleeding risk. Discover more about the three different de-escalation scenarios in this EuroPCR 2024 interview with Jolanta Siller-Matula and Alessandro Sticchi: de-escalation by switching, by dose reduction, or by discontinuation, and learn when and how to use each of these options.
