Coronary Interventions: EuroPCR 2026 highlights
PCR Highlights
Summary
Key highlights from the coronary pathway at EuroPCR 2026 are presented by Nina Van Der Hoeven, together with EuroPCR Course Directors Nieves Gonzalo and Thomas Cuisset.
Among this year’s major educational innovations, they highlight the introduction of the Calcium Skills Lab, and the CTO Track, a comprehensive programme combining live case transmission and simulation sessions aimed at strengthening skills in complex PCI.
Two important late-breaking trials are discussed: a meta-analysis evaluating the management of coronary artery disease (CAD) in TAVI candidates, and a comparison of PCI and surgery in left main disease over long-term follow-up, as well as the introduction of dedicated sessions focused on the translation of clinical trial findings into everyday practice.
And as a "fil rouge": complications, with their constant presence in daily practice and the value of sharing clinical cases to better understand and manage them.
