"Companions" - a key philosophy for the PCR community

Supporting each other on the road to worldwide standardisation of practice

Presentation of a new device at EuroPCR 2019

PCR has been bringing together the interventional cardiovascular community to share knowledge, skills and experience since 1989. As the field steps closer to maturity, each and every practitioner continues to have an important role to play in the standardisation of practice worldwide.

To achieve this goal, peer-to-peer exchange throughout the entire career remains essential. Not only between mentors and fellows, but also on a more global scale, as ‘Companions’ of the community – all supporting one another in many different ways, on the same road towards increasingly better patient care.

What "Companions" means for PCR?

  • Learn with and from each other by sharing daily practice experience
  • Engage in long-lasting, non-judgemental relationships
  • Find momentum together to adopt new techniques and technology
  • Believe in high values and strong ethics for their patients
  • Build a mutual trust that goes beyond cardiology
