Summary
Recognizing that Asian patients, especially women with aortic stenosis, are smaller and have smaller annuli than European ones, for instance, this session discusses the challenges of treating these patients, among them prosthesis patient mismatch, annulus rupture, coronary occlusion, or vascular complication. In addition, the speakers will draw on the results of various studies on the subject, including the TAVI-SMALL registry, the OCEAN-TAVI registry, and the SMART Trial.
